Needed somewhere I wouldn’t lose the flashlight. This kind of just aims itself in a home defense situation.. 1 of a few others. AR12 10rd mag on it 
Those Tac-14s and Shockwaves are a handful. I shot a couple old cut-to-the-limit pumps and they mostly just wanted to kick me square in the teeth. Aguilla mini-slugs made them more civilized. Not all shotguns will cycle them though. They were fun novelties but not something I'd necessarily want for bump in the night duty. I'd prefer something with a shake-awake dot, decent light, ability to shoulder, and 20-40 rounds on board. Being suppressed would be ideal indoors. No reason I should get permanent hearing damage because some tweaker ******* wants to go midnight shopping in my house.
