Assault / home defense shotguns

First look up the regulations in your state. My state has a lot of restrictions on semi auto shotguns, no pistol grips, no folding stocks, magazine limits, etc. Only legal semi auto shotguns here are Fudd style ones. However, there currently are few restrictions on pump actions in my state. Pump actions here can have all the scary stuff on them.

You will want a good recoil pad on the stock and probably low recoil shells. Spare shell holder is good to have. Fiber optic slights or a reddot are handy. May even want a laser for quick target acquisition. A barrel heat shield gives shotguns a much scarier appearence while protecting your hands. Don't decorate your gun with trashy bling as a overzealous DA could use it against you.

It's actually a Ma Deuce. 50 Cal Browning
The M2 Machine Gun, or Browning . 50 Caliber Machine Gun is a heavy machine gun. It was nicknamed Ma Deuce by US troops or simply called "fifty-cal." due to its caliber. John Moses Browning (1855–1926) of Ogden, Utah, was the inventor.

That's on my purchase list when I win the Power Ball. I miss using them.

From personnal experiences, I have a AR carbine set up simular to the old issued one & a 1911 as a back up.

I have a 590A1 Blackwater edition, it hangs close to the master bed. I also have a Chinese JW2000 coach gun, old fashioned double gun with 14" barrels and exposed hammers. Oddly enough the shorty is totally ok in Canuckistan, as is a 12" barrel for the 590.

Find something you like and run a couple boxes of target shot through it and you'll know if it's gonna work for you. Also a pressure activated strobe flashlight is a great idea.

You won't go wrong with a Remington pump or Mossberg 500/590.

You guys are kinda making me regret selling all my stuff in 2020 to pay bills. I don't have any home defense shotguns, but if I did, it'd probably be a stubby little AR pistol in .300 Blackout that loves 220gr subs. Or something like that.

At least you didn't lose them in a boating accident.
