Correct, pretty much new, barely surface rust. Basically stock removed, cleaned, re-clocked for G-bodies, welded & painted. If you go back in this post there are some pics. One advantage over the Jeep is no rubber bushing to breakdown. The Astro shafts have 2 U joints.

I found this and tig welded one up for my car. These jeep shafts are kind of hard to come by in this area anyway. They literally laughed when i asked if they had any...
