I like that paint job...was it a 2 stage paint?

Thanks guys! The paint is actually the DupliColor Paint Shop stuff, black with clear. However it was very hot when I painted it(in my driveway) and the clear dried super quick. It still looks like a satin, and i'm kinda glad it does.

I bought this car when I was 16. I am now 24(soon to be 25). Since then I did a complete gut on the interior. Everything reconditioned.

I also built an engine and detailed the engine bay. The motor I did all the machine work myself and did all the assembly. I recently added the Fast EZ-EFI and the engine runs great.

In a couple years I will be on the market to get her a car and she wants one your body style....I have a friend with a nice black 1980 Camaro Z28 with new TCI trans. He only wants $1000 but it needs an engine, but she doesnt want that.aro Z28 with new TCI trans.Looks like ill have to get myself another car before she gets her cutlass.

Tell the wife thanks alot fer that, appreciate it! Your car is nuthin to sneeze at either, I like it alot, you did a great job on it. All the cars on here are nice.

I'll give it a shot!
79' Malibu original paint. Re-did the interior myself over the winter time. Swapped the old 350 and TH350 out for an iron block 6.0L LQ4 truck engine and 4L60E built by Finish Line Trans in Wood Dale IL. Digital dash, Painless harness and so on. I have a build thread but I'll have to take better pictures of it when I'm not driving the car and enjoying it. I just find reasons to go drive the car now 8)

(Drag radials with 225/50's up front and 245/50s in the rear)

I'll take some better pictures in the daylight tomorrow after work. I got the car driving Friday night, got it aligned Saturday morning, and took it for a 30 minute drive down the highway in the rain, with no wipers, to a huge car show which really turned out to be like 150 or so cars which it's normally 800. Then went to a really nice car show Sunday morning. All the work payed off IMO!
