How long were those stored behind your beach house?

The first thing I thought was they are going to think I had them in a boat yard.

Thats good to hear but.....why were the jack stands not able to be used??

Yeah Turna! Crank those babies up to full height and stick your head under there. I dare you!

Great to know a company will eventually make things right. Dixie Restoration did right by me on a product I bought that wasn't right. I'll deal with those companies any time I need something.

You neglected to mention they were holding up a boat down on the south shore during Hurricane Sandy, didn't you? At least Autozone is marginally better than the old Aid Auto Stores.

I do most of my business with Advanced Auto. Their price are just a tad lower, and the employees seem to know their stuff. I haven't been in Auto Zone for many years, but their main troubles (years ago) were with the employees & their lack of expertise.

Parts stores are kinda like your favorite pub "where everybody knows your name". The more you go, the better your level of service you receive. I am glad you got the replacements you needed with not much hassle.

I do most of my business with Autozone down here, the one close to me has old timers working there that know me and don't ask me if my Malibu is 4wd when I need a PCV valve. LOL

Out of the "big three" (AutoZone, PepBoys, Advance) around here, AutoZone is probably the best one. Parts quality isn't great, but it's good enough and I haven't really had any problems with them.

Advance has been getting better since CarQuest bought them, and they now carry CarQuest parts which are top-notch, but their DriveWorks brand is still atrocious.

PepBoys is the closest store to my house, but they are so bad I won't even pull in the parking lot. They have junk parts, idiotic employees who have never turned a wrench in their lives, the store is a mess and nothing is ever in stock. Plus their prices are 5-20% higher than everyone else. I honestly hope they go out of business.

Napa is still the best around here and I use them 75% of the time. CarQuest used to be better than Napa, but now that CarQuest has become Advanced, I've been using Napa more often.

We don't have O'Reillys so that kinda sucks.

O'Reillys is so bad here I had to show the employee how to use his register after giving him the part number. Won't go in there unless it's a sunday, no other parts stores are open. Auto Value stores are good sort of like an old school shop.
