Axle bushing installation ?

Is there a tool I can rent to install bushings in the axle ears ? I called and asked Oreilly’s but they said they don’t carry anything.

What’s your preferred method ?

Put the bushings in the freezer overnight and heat the ear up. Then you have a minute or 2 to tap them in as far as they can go. Otherwise a gear puller with a big socket can press them in .

This did the trick thanks for the suggestion. I put them in the freezer then lubed them up and they pressed right in

my home-made tool. will need to make two as the heat generated will soften the plastic.

I think I used a 2-1/4 socket, 1/2" allthread/nuts/washers pressed the bushing into the socket.

The assembly was similar to Abbey's post above
