How did you re establish the leather grain? Looks like a different part to me. Filling and sanding will wipe it all out. One reason most people give up is because the vinyl is trashed, crunchy and brittle. It's like fixing a potato chip.

Just kidding looks awesome, now I am debating on doing it to the dash I already have in the car rather than pulling and trying to put the new to me one in that will probably crack anyways.

Just be gentle with it. light pressure when sanding

Hey that is a great looking repair. I have to do a Firebird dash but it's just a crack not a tear. Is there no way to establish some sort of grain?

SEM sells a texture but I didnt want to take any chances messing it up.

If I get another one I will experiment on that one.

What is that like wrinkle paint?
 
No it just has the texture to it, comes out like the dash or bucket seat rear covers
