If anyone has pics they can show of there battery in the trunk and some pics on how they run the battery cable would be awesome. I rly wana get that 25 or so lbs out of the engine bay!

i actually want to know how to do that too.... but one in the engine bay and one in the trunk 🙂

i have everything ran so my battery is in my truck. i bought a plastic battery box like the one for battery back up pump system.going to have aluminum checkered plate one made. got my battery cable from ebay 35 feet.i ran mine on the drivers side under neath the carpet, there is already a plastic tube next to the drivers side seat that runs from the front of the car to the back of the car.at leasted my 86 cutty dose .then ran it under the back seat. then behined the back seat and out in to the trunk .ill try to get some pics.

If you plan on ever going to the track you will need a battery cut off switch that works. just so you know.

Mine is obviously in my trunk. Battery cable is routes into the space behind the taillight to the cut off switch then goes all the way up front. I have it go under the battery then along the wheel well threw my rear firewall down the back seat and along the sill plate in the plastic holder thingie (tech term). up into my solenoid behind my glove compartment into my replay panel.

from the solenoid it goes into the starter.

for the cutoff switch to work I have a 4ga wire going back to the battery side of the cut off switch.

dont really have pics other then this.... most of it is all hidden

I put my battery in the tire well by bolting a battery tray in and making a hold down out of angle iron and 3/8" rod.
I only use 1/0 welding cable for my battery, the positive runs to a shut off switch(which will have an external cut off if I go to the track) then along the frame rail mounted with cushion clamps up to the front to the heater case where it goes to a Ford style solenoid then to the starter.
In the trunk I also have a fuse panel and relays wired directly off the battery going to the two fuel pumps and nitrous bottle heater.
I also have a battery maintainer hardwired to the battery and I plug the car in when I not driving it.
I added a positive accessory terminal near the core support with 2 gauge welding cable that comes from the solenoid so I can power add ons and also gives me a place to clamp my timing light for power.
And I have a bump switch for adjusting my valves hardwired in one on each fender.
I have probably a half dozen heavy gauge grounds throughout the car also.(very important)
