Upgrading the power and ground wires to be able to flow all that juice the sound system is sucking down, usually using a 0 gauge wire or 4 gauge. What’s the big three
Id say if it was working before the alt change, start there. Loose wire? Loose plug ect. Check the wires associated with the charging system. Ive seen wires get hot and melt together. Keep it simple, push in all the fuses in the block ect..Sorry to jump on your thread has anybody encountered this problem
I have a 86 Buick Regal limited
My alternator recently went out I replaced it now my oil choke light and battery light stay on but once I press on the brakes they turn off but I can still see the the battery light but very dim any suggestions? I would really appreciate any advice
Unless you are running a high compression engine, or living where it gets really cold the CCA of a battery is of little importance when selecting an alternator. Get the highest amp alt you can afford.I had a 540 cranking amp battery before
And now I have a 690 cranking amp battery which alternator do y’all recommend
Chrome don't get ya home. Get the biggest alternator you can fit. Don't bother messing with A-zone; go find a local starter/alternator/electric motor shop near you.
