I love 455 Buick engines. Like one of the best kept secrets from GM. All the haters never ran one, instant torque, designed to effortlessly hurl a 4600 pound luxo-barge down the highway with a TH400. While sipping low octane fuel.
Same could be said for the 350 as well. Just a smaller 455 for the most part. Lightweight (for a cast iron V8), super torquey and growing aftermarket makes these motors all the more cool.

Took off the intake to bead blast it and to take a look at the inside. So far so good.

Well guys on my mission to take crank pulley off I noticed the bolt is pretty stripped. Does anyone know a source for a new one. Or does someone have one used?

ARP, Summit Racing has them. Or TA Performance. Ebay is also an option, but why buy a used bolt?

Is the crank damaged? If so there's your great deal......

Crank looks good. Has time last night to take off oil pan. Took off caps to check bearings. Everything checked out. Just looks like some one used an impact with the wrong socket on bolt.

The treads are striped or the head of the bolt is rounded off?

Ahh well that's better than the threads!!!!
