I am doing the B body spindle conversion on my Cutlass soon and am wondering if there is a "best choice" for a caliper donor? Is the 9C1/Impala SS caliper different or better than one from say, a Caprice wagon of the mid 80's? I have the Global West arms now and plan on getting the 1LE Camaro rotors soon, but want to get the best Junkyard solution I can find for the calipers. I plan on eventually upgrading the calipers to aftermarket units, and also wonder if the spindles differ from model to model with the 12 in brakes. SSBC lists different calipers for the Impala SS and standard Caprice, so I suspect there is a difference. They also list different part numbers for G bodies as compared to B bodies, so I am guessing the calipers differ between the two car lines as well.By the way, I am running 16x8 in wheels right now, but plan on 17's in the future, so clearance should not be a big problem.
