This is just a little something that I have been wondering. Which is how well other guys have done while sending their Camino down the track. We all know an ElCamino is NOt built for raceing. However, I have one and for the time being I'm gonna keep trying to improve on it's performance.
Please any one join in. But the guys with a fairly factory suspension are most intresting to me. So lets hear what kind of luck you have been having. Pictures too if you have 'em. Thanks

i never got to run mine on the track someday i hope too but oh well...when i build my second elky im hauling it to NO PROBLEM and running it

Not me Personally but a buddy of mine has been 11.98 in the quarter with his el with stick boxed lowers drag shocks and on slicks.

There was a guy at daytona turkey rod run & ocala gm show selling his world's fastest el camino, due to heart problems. He generally ran low 8,s, I believe with a 7.90 best if I remember right. Of course that's with a roll cage through the rear window & a $42,000 Sonny,s engine.
