This is aimed mostly for the older crowd on here. Last night I watched a documentary on cable about Linda Rondstat “ The Sound Of My Voice “ That lady had IMO the best female voice EVER!!! Her looks were also fantastic. I’ve been in ( idol) love with her and her voice since I was 15. The only 2 that have come close since she retired are Matina McBride and Shania Twaine. Carrie Underwood is both beatiful in looks and voice, her voice just doesn’t have the powerful range the fornamed 3 have/had. If anyone wants to see ( no matter your age) what I’m talking about check your cable/satellite search grid. She’s been one special lady.

I like Stevie, I have alot of her music. She has a great voice for her songs. But as far as a beautiful voice, she’s ( IMO ) not in the same league as the 4 ladies I mentioned.
All 4 ladies I mentioned were crossovers, they started with one type of music and changed/were accepted by fans of different types of songs. Some of Linda’s best songs were her covers of Motown songs.
If you're talking vocal ability, it's hard to beat Mariah Carey- incredible range. Whitney Houston was no slouch, either.
