2.14 yuck! That can be a problem if she does not see a lot of interstate as you often have to smash the gas pedal so hard just to accelerate with traffic from a light etc. GM usually put lower gears (numerically higher) behind the 3.8 to help it get moving.
Heh when I had the 509 Caddy powered Cutty with low gears & a 200-4R I had to train myself to use less throttle leaving a stop as it would quickly & easily without meaning to out accelerate traffic. The combination of low end torque, gearing and responsiveness of the Q-jet was over the top. I would always end up letting off the pedal completely and often tap the brake and then back on the gas. Yea in town mileage sucked because I often jumped back and forth between a mini van and the Cutty but highway mileage was better than I expected.
