Temp gauge

How this build coming along......on the temp should run a 180-185 stat because in the summer you would over shoot the 160 and it would just stay open and would be like not having one at all......and I hear ya on the Pull-a-part on Centinnial Blvd that place has saved my build a few times for hard to find parts on my Regal......a trick to help clean up your steelies is regular dry still wool get you 2 pads and goto town on them you can get it all Wal-mart or Oreillys use it on all shiny steel or chrome showing browning or rust it will bring it back to life but use it dry.....looking forward to seeing more on this build.....

Thanks for the advice on the wheels, I'll try some steel wool. I've put about 250 miles on it since dropping the engine in, can only drive on weekends since I got antique tags so I didn't have to put on Cats.

My biggest problem has been fuel systems leaks, I installed a Holley Blue pump and regulator since my block hadn't been drilled for a manual pump. I've had leaks by the feed line above the rear axle in never never land, and now the pump is seeping underneath the car. I finally found an intank sender and pump at the junkyard and ordered a racetronix hotwire kit so I plan to run new aluminum feed and return lines this weekend.....wish me luck

I hope to have it painted and wheels on it by the fall Rod Run in Pigeon Forge. But, I want to have this thing running reliably before I put any money into painting it.

Yeah you gonna have to replace the fuel lines for saftey reasons anyway.....mine is -an lines from the mech pump to the carb.....just installed -an lines for trans last week when I dropped it........i might drive to the Rod Run in Pigeon Forge this year.....but gotta get ready for the Power Tour in 3 weeks........

So I pulled a 3/8 supply and a 5/16 return through the car yesterday....wow that sucks!

Today I have to figure out where to terminate them in the engine compartment, install my an fittings, put the new Monte TBI sender in the tank and wire it all up.

Found some pics on my phone from when I was working on pulling the engine.....can't believe I didn't think to pressure wash the engine compartment when I had the engine out!

New steering column from Pull a Part...since the previous owner lost the steering wheel nut and decided to weld the steering wheel in place!

The best thing about my car is I built it with 98% harbor freight tools except for my ratchet that I got at Lowes for 14.99.
