I have a 93 Fleetwood, Brougham means nothing to the drivetrain its just a trim level. All 93 Fleetwoods were 5.7 /700r4.If yours had a manual shift kit in it it probably was because it was in the process of being wasted and the valve body was malfunctioning.
I don't think you are keeping your problems seperate with the engine from the trans with your descriptions, But I have a solution thats easy for you. My Fleetwood runs and drives perfect, I hit Bambi about a year ago and wrinkled the front sheetmetal, nothing mechanical is hurt ,runs and drives perfect, climate air works, air suspension, new tires, the car has always had synthetic oil in it. Just fly into Omaha airport ,i'll pick you up and you give me $1100 and you drive it home. then you can put the CORRECT drivetrain back in yours and sell all that other stuff. Easy Peasy. 712-622-8105

I have since corrected the shifting issue on the car and it is working a lot better these days. As much as I would like to fly out there and get a parts car so I have endless parts I just can't see it happening right now, but IF you are willing to part it out - now I am having a problem with my air ride and could use the rear shocks because mine are leaking fluid. I read that replacing these shocks after having problems can cause the compressor to fail so I would probably need that too. I am no longer employed as I was when I originally made this post or I would just buy the whole car for $1100 because that's a good deal IMO, but I can probably afford the shocks/compressor so if you're willing to get them off for me let me know what you would want for them. My cloth top is starting to look a bit trashy too, so if you are willing to part with the rear window I would need that to convert to hardtop which I am considering doing @ some point, TY
