not to add to your confusion,i see my tech rep once a week/evry other i'll see what his recommend are for a comparable replacement/co$t effective alternative to the 2021/compliant availablity in your neck of the north..couldn't hurt...i think.
Would it help if someone stateside was to ship you clear from the lower 48? Just trying to think of all possibilities. Thanks for all the input guys, I really appreciate it. It’s making my decision somewhat harder though.
I’ve been doing a ton of reading and research these past few days, and had a really good lengthy chat with a painter at one of my customers on Friday afternoon. I’m glad I spoke with him, I learned a lot in that short time about using these new clears since the VOC regulations changed up here.
He made the recommendation to look into something called “glamour” clears over the regular production clears, and mentioned PPG’s EnviroBase line as well like some of you did. Specifically the EC520, 530, and 550 clears. I’ve looked up the tech sheets and watched a couple videos on each, but couldn’t really figure out what the difference is between each, other than maybe flash and dry times. Neither of which will be a concern for what I’m doing.
Anybody know for sure??
I’ll have to look into the pricing for these EC clears with my distributor to see if they’re within my budget, but as of right now I’m leaning towards either these or possibly Upol. I’m just not sure who carries Upol around here yet. I also found a shop that carries De Beers products if anyone has anything positive to say or recommends them?
Specific product lines and numbers are especially helpful guys. Thanks again.
Anyone close to the Montana border, could do a cannonball run to pick it up.Would it help if someone stateside was to ship you clear from the lower 48? Just trying to think of all possibilities.
