Brake Booster Dissasembly

Who has taken apart the brake booster. I need to take mine apart to use the pushrod that I will modify to use with my manual set up. I know there is a strong spring in the booster so is there a need to tie the thing up so I don't take any low flying aircraft out of the sky?

I tried that a long time ago. The push rod did not work for what I wanted. Maybe you will have better luck than I did.

I read on a thread, Nasty Z28, that one guy cut the push rod to make it adjustable, threaded each end and used a long nut (as he called it) to join the two

I am converting to manual brakes, I'm using the same master that we used in or G body circle track car and it's the same one used in link I posted
