Brake/Tail Light Problems

Most likely a added on light assembly. 2 wires, One is ground the other is power for the bulb which should be coming from the brake light switch. But from the looks of the harness I doubt it goes to the switch.

Both of the green wires (too short) so they are connected to the white wire which are connected to the harness. One is connected to a green wire and the other one is connected to yellow wire. The one connected to the green wire is connected to the harness, cut in between.

I hate to say it, but your gonna have to do that over. Those white wires need to go. Un-tape and disconnect the white wires. At the harness disconnect one at a time. your gonna have to get to the shielded wires in the running board to the back. It's not too difficult to do. Un screw the driver's running board, then the kick panel where the hood release is and pull the carpet to see the plastic shield that has the wires in it. use a test light at the connecters. The first connecter is behind the E-brake pedal. Do not pierce the wires with the test light. Instead, stick the test light into the connecter to check for power. Run your hazards to check the brake lights. Note: this won't work on the 3rd brake light, that is controlled at the pedal. Then check the park and reverse lights. etc...

So, I haven't had time to redo the wiring, but I did take the bulbs out passenger side and they are 1154s. I replaced them with the same ones the last time they blew from taking the bulb with me that the other owner put in there. I don't know why I didn't realize that. Do you think that is the problem because I put the wrong blubs and the other owner put the wrong ones in also?

Possible but unlikely. I have seen problems from putting a 1156 in a 1157 socket. Put 1157's in it a try it. Make sure and sort that wiring harness out in the trunk first.

Rusty Nutz is right, put in 1157s.
