I need to know the smaller brake line tubing size, is it 1/4? This going from the proportioning valve to the right front caliper. Thanks.

3/16” front, 1/4” rear for factory drum brakes.

Cool thanks. I get .180" on the caliper. I will pick up a premade line, no bulk tube 3/16" tube locally in stock and a tubing bender now to figure out the length and I assume standard fittings for 3/16" tubing?

all the brake fittings are SAE.....if you are redoing the 1/4" line to the back brakes do not loose the fitting that goes into the proportional valve. It is not a normal fitting and I have never found a source to buy a new one.

Just doing one line, all the torque of this 350 caused the header collector to rub through 😁. Should have moved it a long time ago.

I had to do this on my 81. One of my friends that was better at bending tubes made a mock up in steel and I sent it to Classic Tube and they duplicated the shape in SS. I had them make two in case I had the same issue with the wagon. You can see how it looks in this photo. It sits right behind the motor mounts. Plenty of space between the line and the tubes on both cars with two different style headers.
