Brighter Brake Lights

I have a 78 Elcamino & the lights are placed in the bumper very low on the car & can be difficult to see. After reading this thread, I went to autozone & bought 4 of these bulbs. I replaced one side & turned the lights on, The new bulbs were definitely brighter than the 1157s. Thanks for the tip. If they don't last as long as 1157s they are cheap enough to replace & still allow me to have a little peace of mind.

glad they worked out and thanks for letting us know...like you said they are cheap enough not to be concerned if they don't last as long as an 1157

learn something new everyday. I will try this also on the wagon, till i convert to LED's

I will also give them a try. Good tip, and thanks for the feedback.

gives new meaning to the old saying: "not the brightest bulb in the box"...

great info though... I know we keep the 7528's on the shelf @ advance auto....
