Personally speaking, if you have the rope seal in it, I don't think this would work. This stuff works on the rubber seals by swelling them up. I agree with fleming442 of just keeping an eye on level and dealing with it until you can deal with the 455. Soon you won't even remember the leak even being a problem when you're grinning from ear to ear KNOWING that the 455 was the right choice in the long run! 🙂When my 403 blows, I will use the 455. Anybody use this stuff before? Cant do the rear main seal til the middle of summer
As for the 455, wasn't sure if I was going to sell it or keep it. Looks like I will keep it and build it when I get fed up with the 403
The next carb I put in will be this oneI'm just seeing the cart being put in front of the horse. There has been minimal effort put into tuning the 403 carb. A 455 isn't a magic bullet; get the 403 running right first, and throw that Edelbrock carb in the scrap yard.
