Bushing install

If you do decide to attempt it, the best thing you can do is to get or fabricate some "C" or "U" shaped sleeves. They would go in between the "ears" and around the bushings, and prevent them from caving in as you pressed the new bushings in. Trust me, they come out stubbornly enough, but the force of going in will collapse the thin "ears" and you will swear holy hell as they bend and now the bushing is out of alignment with the other "ear". Sleeves make the job go fast. I have used PVC pipe as it is cheap and easy to cut, but steel pipe is really the way to go. Dealers and real shops probably have the Kent-Moore brand but they are easy to make and then you can even lend them to friends and amaze them with your knowledge.

Here's what the K-M spacer tool looks like. See? Epay has them cheap but easy peasy to make.
