Parts chasing only day today. Had the water pump come in. That is a major concern as the front bearing on it literally sounds like the belt slipping. And front swaybar bushings and links.
Had to spend about an hour or so find the front strut rod bushings so the front end can get aligned at some point. Plus ordering tires. The ones on it are dry rotted BAD! Still holding air though 🤣
Cool car, you would need a city block to park it. Best part about cars from the mid 70's is their price, cheap. The 500 Cad is a good motor and throws down massive torque even in that cars neutered state. Plus highway mileage should be surprisingly good. In town, probably single digit but that car is meant for the open road in luxury.

So being that the rain decided to go away for the day, I decided to change the plugs. They weren’t to bad but it had seemed to feel like it had a skip. I had already changed the cap & rotor, cleaned the wire connectors in the pigtails (it sat so long and there was a lot of corrosion on a number of other wires) spending a little time may save headaches for later.
Went under the dash to replace the dimmer switch and pigtail as well as to see if there was a fuse for the electric choke. When I tried to see if there was power to it I got zip. Been trying to figure out why the choke won’t close. The two vacuum pull offs aren’t healthy and change there vacuum hoses as well. Pulled a couple of unnecessary fuses for now. Don’t think A/C is really important and clock/ cigarette lighter is not important. And so the adventure continues…
