Where I'm from lopey don't mean big but I see y'all guys haven't experimented with your engines if y'all do y'all will learn some things

Uh okay. Do you know what makes an engine lope? It's long duration and/or close LSA's. In other words what the rest of the world calls big cams. Go right ahead and stay where your from with your bad 305, lol.

Yes I kno but u don't need a big cam for that!!!!!!'

For what? To make it lope. How would you make it lope without going to a bigger cam?

83gbody,

To answer your question I and others need more info. We know it is a 305, what is the use? Daily driver? Weekend warrior? Do you have a stock stall speed converter? What rear gear do you have? Do you have headers, intake, aftermarket carb? To get a lopey mean sound in a 305 will mean that you are going to sacrifice the benefits of having an aftermarket cam in your engine. ASSUMING your heads are stock, stock low compression, you would be best suited with a cam just a step or two above stock, which WON'T lope and sound like a mean machine. But like I said we need more info.If you aren't gonna be satisfied with a cam that performs well but doesn't have big sound then call up one of the cam manufactures with all the answers to the above questions and they will spec out something for you. Good Luck!

you cant. unless you give it a tune up incorrectly. gap the plugs wider than factory specs call for, eventually the plugs will start missing and viola, instant lope.

A Mild Cam with a tight LSA around 108 or 106 will lope like **** , add that to small duration cam and it will lope like hel with flows ... Just wont have that rumpity sound of duration.

With a 305 your going to have a hard time finding a happy medium. You want lop go Cubic Inch's and a decent cam!!

This is the 60102 (sounds good but might be a lil to much)

I would order this cam and ask for a 108 lsa and 104 icl , it will make strong power in the 305 and sound like a monster motor.... Does anyone disagree with me?
The 108LSA will cause a loss of Vacuum but not that much if its got 19@ idle with a 112 .... 108 should give you a strong 10-12 with low duration.
