I've got a 2.14 ratio now. I plan on 3.73s when I put the new transmission in.

I'm keeping the wires until I can afford Torq-Thrust IIs. 8)

Sounds like you want to build something like this; www.robertpowersmotorsports.com. Before being stolen Bob had already gotten his car to run 12.3 at 110mph and had gotten 15mpg. According to Bob It rode and cruised nice handled well was reliable etc. I went basically the same route with the 442 in my signature/album. Never got it dialed in either but it ran a 12.5 at 110mph and got 17.0 mpg before I sold it. There is also a guy on oldspower with his 455/overdrive/Q-jet drive anywhere Cutlass who has ran 12.0s and gotten mpgs in the high teens. These cars a great and inexpensive platform for building an everyday supercar.

Long overdue update, kids:

Yep, still a 307 and a nearly dead 200C. Need to rebuild that 200-4R this year before it dies for good. I also have rear gears from an Aerocoupe ready to go in when that time comes. No posi though. 🙁 Right now I'm changing out all of the fluids and adding more of the F41 stuff. I'm emissions exempt now so I'd like to swap in a non-CCC distributor and an Edelbrock 600 as well.

Glad someone else likes the wire wheel covers, haha. I hated them at first but I've since grown attached. I see myself ending up with 3-4 sets of wheels & tires for this car that I can just swap at will...next set is going to be either the body-color rallyes or a set of black Cragar D-holes, 15x7 up front and 15x8 in the rear, with the yellow Goodyear Eagles (as soon as they make them again) mounted up. I used to hate the NASCAR look but I drove the car on the black steelies for a couple days without the wheel covers and thought "Damn, that looks tough..."

I dig the brown, dude. 8) Glad to see it coming back on a lot of new cars. If I wasn't too tall for the freakin' thing my new car last year would've been a Mocha Steel (read: chocolate brown) Chevy HHR. Sadly, I couldn't see stoplights unless I opened the sunroof. Ended up with a bright green Mazda instead (cue Monte SS owner saying some ignorant crap about "ferrin cars"). The new Silverados are available in brown and light green too, I think. Very old-school.

lol chevy guys

Yeah we just had a brown silverado through the shop, nice color. Green isnt a bad color at all

Keep up the work on the car!
