looking at purchasing a open car trailer to bring my car to the strip and was wondering what’s the best size? For a 1987 cutlass

Are you looking to buy an enclosed trailer?

Depends also on if ramps are removable or not. Mines 21'9" with fixed ramps, Elcamino just fits when ramps are lifted up.

Decks 21'9", total length is 25'

I wouldnt go with anything less than 18'. If youre looking for a nice trailer check out Big Tex. I bought one new in 2003. It was 2K lbs empty and towed like a dream. Full deck, wide slide out ramps. Very well made.

I like the 18 ft too. Bought mine new in 1992 it's been fantastic. If I want to take the scooter just move the car back a little and put it there. If you can step up to an enclosed by all means do it.

18 foot here, because I like to have all of the car on the trailer. I bought it with 5200# axles, because if you need to haul a pickup, you're at the load limit with 3500# axles. Brakes are a must
