That is correct and would be stage one of a two stage PCV system. At WOT vacuum goes away so that is why they ran a steel tube from one valve cover to the air cleaner. At speed the air cleaner velocity takes over and continues to draw crankcase fumes. If you look at the bottom of an aftermarket air cleaner base plate, you can usually find a punch-out that will accept the valve cover hose and you can have continuous PCV. Just use a small in-line filter to catch any oil. Just like the little filter located on the inside of the stock air cleaner.I'm basing the vac hose routing on the fact that the both carb manufacturers dictate manifold sources for the crankcase evac.it pulls@ all times except under full acceleration which is what you want
