Carbon Fiber Rods

You guys are touching on all the points for why this looks like BS. An aftermaket performance parts place (thats not Ford or Chev or even MOPAR) has suddenly come out with carbon rods without any real info and a block capable of 4000hp after only being in business for a couple years. So i was trying to see if you guys might know who is manufacturing them. I only found 2 names, AWA and Naimo composites.

CF pistons cant withstand the heat, but the ones i saw in development have an aluminum/silica crown. The advantages of a piston in CF is less heat transfer, more stays in the combustion chamber to keep it efficient. Very little expansion so you can run extremely tight tolerances, and of course weight.

Dont know what that $18,000 number is based on, but if it was made the way lambo is doing it, it could be very similar to a regular connecting rod, with markup on only the material.
