I think someone recently posted up something on this....I can't seem to find it right now...but I believe they are not a direct bolt on. I think the base is narrower on the mid 60's mirrors and I think it was mentioned that the mounting holes are in different location...

I have added the '67 Chevy mirrors to my car for an old school look. You will have to mount them higher than the original mirrors and weld up the existing holes.
Another member had done it to his Malibu coupe a few years ago.
Here's the only picture of mine that I have currently. Unlike the original mirrors that bolt on with studs and nuts, these are screwed on thru the base piece, and then the mirror screws on to that.
I may have positioned mine a bit too forward. You can gage your mounting position according to the original mirrors, just higher onto the door ledge.
