So in two months I'll be buying my mothers 91 S10, manual 5sp, RWD not 4X4 or AWD. Manual steering, not power. And it's got the 2.5l Four banger.

My question is, How many suspension parts are interchangeable between this S10 and my Monte carlo?? 88 SS incase it matters. I replaced ALL of my suspension with SC&C's parts, so i have all the old control arms, steering..ext

I'm asking because the upper control arms, and the lower control arms look identical... Now i know i won't be able to use the springs/ shocks, or any of the rearend setup gear. S10's a leaf spring, Monte's a 4-link.

Speaking of steering, the S10 like i said, doesn't have power steering. Will the old steering box from my monte carlo bolt up and fit correctly in this S10? I know i can mount the pump, just not sure about the box itself.

I'm guessing that the power steering box should be a direct bolt-in. Being that guys are using the manual S-10 boxes in G-body cars. Just check and compare the sizes of the pitman arms.

The S-10 and G-body front suspensions are interchangeable.

As for the power steering, yes it will bolt up, but I'd leave it manual if it were mine.
