What exhaust mod's do u have? From what I have seen it looks like you added a cam and intake, but no fuel?? Do u have enough exhaust flow to evac the chambers? Did you bore the motor out .030 and run the same pistons with new rings? Cause without getting pistons to up your compression ratio, boring your cylinders over will simply lower your compression and thus create less power. Even by adding a cam and intake, your not helping anything. I would guess you have a pretty low static compression ratio right now.

we have 2 and half inch dual exhaust with x pipes all from pypes exhaust and we have new pistons when bored

Ditch the 600 vacuum sec Carb
Ditch the performer intake (nothing more then weight savings over stock intake)
Install 750 DP
Install performer RPM intake
Set initial timing at 16*, total at 36*, all in by 3000
Long tube headers are a must.
Without rereading this I going to assume stock smogger heads. Your giving up a world right there.
That cam likes a 2500 stall.
Even with smogger heads these changes alone and shifting the thing at 5500ish should put you solidly in the low 14's high 13's with traction.
we cant get the performer rpm intake with the heads we have only choices are what we have and air gap performer its a 650 v.s. carb and timing is at 16 ,36 in by 3000 have long tube headers i have a 2800 stall might throw in it and will get head # i think your right on heads

What was your MPH in the 1/4, before and after? When the gas pedal is all the way to the floor, is the carb fully opened?

If a performer fits an RPM will fit..... its a significant improvement. Your timing is bang on, converter will make a huge difference, , but heads are where the money is.... any or all of the smogger heads are a waste. The only ones I use are the 305ho heads (416 casting) and I spend hours porting them to get them where they need to be. There are so many decent budget offerings out there now that its a waste spending time or money on old parts. Look at a set of pro-filer's, right around $1100 shipped and dollar for dollar nothing will touch them. Heads and converter, Carb, intake puts that car in the 12's all day assuming your math is right and its a "real" 10.1

I love profiler heads +1 on that. I ditched my smog heads for a set. If you decide you want to get a set look up SRH and talk with Chad Speier. He will give you all the info you need without trying to sell you anything. he really did a great job on my profiler heads.

the heads are i beleive 083 casting will check to be sure and the 2 inner bolts on these heads are straight up vs all angled thats why i couldnt get an intake
thanks i appreciate all the insight on this

083 heads... the cast ones are 64cc 1.94/1.50... the aluminum ones are 58cc...

we checked the brakes rearend to see if any of that couldve been a problem didnt find anything that could be slowing it down all looks and works like it should thanks for all the info u guys have been giving hope we figure this out

That cam is for a fuel injection, just lookin at some specs, there is only 48 degrees overlap and the lca is 112 when is should be at a max of 110. It has a decent lift and duration but the overlap is too small. More overlap helps fill the cylinder during the intake stroke. The cam is deff. slowing ya down.
