Sharp car and nice trailer. Hmm your description makes it sound more like a three speed with a lock up converter switch rather than an overdrive. I understand if you have someone else do the build it becomes difficult to keep all that stuff straight.

"But I do know that sitting in second gear doing about 35mph and jumping the gas to a little more than half way down was enough to put the rear end sideways! I haven't done that before with an automatic."

Thats why I was talking to you about the drag radials. What size are those rims?

The transmission is a 3 speed with electric overdrive. It has a non lockup. I know what you are referring to but the transmission in this car was custom built by freddy brown in Long Island New York. Its based off a Ford AOD transmission with a GM housing and custom internals. Definitely not a Lock up switch. The transmission was just custom built because I wanted to keep the lightinig rods functional, but have the performance of a 3 speed manual valve body, but add the convenience of an overdrive. Tust me, I would never put a lock uo in this car! haha Thanks again for the feedback!

Thanks man! I think your car is sick as well. Clean as anything!

HurstOlds6, great looking car with some impressive power numbers. Would love to see it in the track set up as well.

Awsome car !!!! are you from Long Island

I am from Long Island. I currently live in the city but the car is stored in Long Island
