Considering a 9" swap, need to know everything involved

I will need parts anyways, 31 spline seem around the same price as 28 spline stuff. Unfortunately I may not get the hours I want due to rain. I am delivering liquid fertilizer, has been crazy wet. I may have to patch the 7.5" till fall or park it till next year, depending on what I find. The 9" will happen but so does life.

If there is no difference in price, then the 31 spline axles are the way to go.When I got mine,in order to get a 31 spline,I would have needed aftermarket axles and there was quite a big difference in price, and it just wasnt in the budget at that time.

Took a closer look, my pinion has some chipped teeth. I will see if I can find some 3.42's out of a S-10. Patch it for the season, then start hoarding 9" parts.
