Has anyone done this? I have a 87 cutlass I'm going to put a 406 olds stroker I'm building in my 87. I have 2 Oldsmobile A body rear ends and was wondering if anyone has converted one before. What all does it intell from installing fitting wheel spacing. Can I use my Stock olds ralleys will the spacing b different and so on. Or is it cheaper to get a 9 inch ford fitted already for a G body? Thank you.

Since the backspacing is different then my Stock 15x7 olds ralleys will b to wide on the center? Is it worth putting the A body rear end in?

If I remember correctly there are a couple different width A body rears ranging from 2"- 4" wider than the Gbody rear so depending on the width of the Olds rear ends you have it will push your rear wheels 1"-2" farther out which could cause an issue with stock wheels, many people that go with the A body rear run aftermarket wheels with more backspace to bring the wheel back in.

Ok. Thank you. I may have to sell one of my posi units to purchase a G body rear end . I want to use my factory ralleys. I'm a factory looking knd of guy 🙂. So does anyone have a suggestion on who to contact about a rear end for the g body?

406 Olds stroker +15 x 7 stock rally wheels = no traction ever
