I pre-wired the car for two fans, but currently using just one. That is a pretty good idea using that as a trigger. I will give it a look.

So it looks like I could do this if I make the second fan the primary (red), and I make the primary the circuit to trigger the PS pump at speed (green). Also, it looks like you can set up an after-run cooler using the ignition off function (blue)... negating the need for the manual switch I added. It doesn't state if it is for the primary or secondary fan or both. But, relay(s) could prevent it from allowing the PS pump from running too.

The adapter fittings came in today, so that means that I could have this up and running by the end of the weekend.

Took a little time today to start working on the EPS pump. Cleaned things up a bit more and stared at the place I want it to go. After realizing it probably won't fit, I reconciled myself to the distinct likelihood I am moving the air filter.

The challenge is the pump isn't light and the bracket looks as though it was designed to rest on a structural part of the Volvo's chassis. Ideally I would set this on the frame - but at over 12" high it is either going to be cantilevered off the frame or body, or hung off the core support.

Biggest hurdle is the orientation of the pump relative to the steering box... plus, is it's pouring out, and I am not putting Natasha's Camaro outside to do this just so I can wash it later too. So, I'll be picking it up again tomorrow.

In the meantime I did start making a bracket to hang the fluid reservoir. This TIG is a hilarious advancement in fabrication options. The weld is a little goopy because it's been weeks (?) since I last practiced.

What's the weight of that pump overall? Does it vibrate where it really needs rubber isolation?

Put the seat belts back in, torqued the lugs, wiped it off, and went for a ride around the block and out on to the street. Nothing fell off. It is still sketchy AF when not on drag radials.

I was laughing hysterically.

What's sketchy? Handles bad as in needs alignment, spins easy?
