Thing is by the time I start "upgrading" parts were are going to see even more weight go back into the car. It is an unfortunate reality. That and after taking both cars apart it was a noticeable PITA to get the back end off the car. So when it comes to time sit the body on the frame (delete the body bushings completely; going to literally go body on frame (and weld it together)), I don't think the potential for flex is going to be an issue - nor do I want to fight the pinch welds again when I have to blow the car apart (again).
The plan is to put a full fiberglass clip, rack and pinion, and chop off the frame horns (among other bits like suspension) to get the front end light.
My goal here is to push 600hp into the low-10s (high-9s?) with a sub-3000lb car, not need 800+hp to do the same with a 3500-3700lb bucket.
Light car, little motor, lots of revs, silly noises, etc.
