MONTE CARLO "COPO" Monte Carlo SS - Turbosaurus Build (Swinging Dick Racing's c*ck got bent... she bounced a little too high & hard, & came down awkwardly)

Remote battery cut-off things.

Pulled the seats, found a partial build sheet hog-ringed to the lower cushion frame, and then did a little weight reduction by pulling the Z06 interior supreme sound deadening out.

Which made a path for a fat cable to the fire wall from the switch. The stock battery tray had four riv-nuts installed in it, couple of through holes into the bottom of the spare tire well, some bolts and done. Fat ground cable to the frame horn/bumper mount.

Built a nice thick bracket as a rod support, attached it to the bumper bar, and done. Still need to trim the rod to length and re-tap it for the handle.

Also, does anyone in Ontario need an aluminum rad? LOL.

Big main line fed by the alternator to the bussbar (lots of room for future expansion), system is pre-wired for two fuel pumps (currently running one 450), and a big fatty ground wire to another bussbar (shortest path to ground and whatnot).

Couple of rivnuts.

That is a long run... Repurposed a factory truck power bussbar and bracket.

I still need to make up the wire harness with leads for three fuel pumps plus a couple of spares for "future considerations" (sensors or a lead to a water pump for an water reservoir or something), and then the ground harnesses, and re-pin the fuel sender.

3 fuel pumps? Is the 6L from the wagon becoming a turbo 7L?

I am planning for E85 and some redundancy. Down the line I want to use this car as a test bed for a bunch of cockamamie ideas so building in capacity now makes that easier.

This sucks. I hate successfully wiring things because it means I should continue doing the wiring. I managed to get the 15 foot long harness to run the leads for the fuel pump(s) built and tested. Works. The last (?) thing I needed to terminate up front were the trigger wires for the cooling fan relay. Since I was in there I decided to add an underhood manual override switch for the fan. The fan is wired direct to the battery so that when the car is key off it will work fine (unless I trip the battery cutoff). Why not put the switch inside? Because I can command it on with HP Tuners.
