Even though the flange on the g body cars is different, it has been shown on here numerous times how to modify it for s10 and corvette brakes to work. Does not take much to modify, cut a section off and drill two holes and it is just like all the rest.

Been there done that.

Saying it doesn't take much to modify is obviously coming from someone that hasn't done it.

It's not especially hard but cutting through the axle flange will take a lot of time and muscle. Same with trying to drill through it.

Spend the money and buy the brackets from Flynbye. You'll thank yourself later.

You'll also need to relocate the shocks inboard further otherwise they hit the calipers.

Any idea what total cost is ,a parts list and what year corvette ,thanks
from my experience didnt take me long at all and was not hard at all... flynbye doe not have a provision that i know of that allows eventually using the ebrake.. been there too and gave those brackets away...

it is a 98-2002 camaro rear disc set up (same size as the corvette stuff, same brand caliper, etc), I got it at the yard, in great condition on a half off day... since i have pulled and sold several sets for a great price, however I rec and always have recommended you go pull the stuff yourself and save tons! click on the link in my thread or pm me with any questions, pm me your number and ill explain it to you over the phone! do not be intimadated by the work, if you can handle basic tools, you will be fine!

here is a pic to prove that im speaking from experience... i liked Ed (flynebye) and I do business all the time with Tobin (kore3), but i am all about doing this yourself and saving money where you can... I just spent over $700 on just my brackets for my ford rear end, YIKES!, so I save where I can

flynbye bracket for LT1 style, thought it was what i wanted but not...

was given away in my pay it forward thread, for free

I would be surprised if I have anything over $250 in that setup and thats being generous, i think I put price throughout my thread and I show where you can make the swap easier... cause i used an adj rear prop valve, etc. but again i am willing to walk you through it and discuss it over the phone, to ease your mind... i wish the ford 9 was as easy but its not!

Im a lil 160 pound dude with no automotive mechanical skills at all. Im doing it..This is an "LS!" rear brake swap using parts from a donor 2001 Camaro SS....

Removed the small screws and then used a "Cobalt" 3/8" drill bit. Took 5 minutes to drill thru it. Not hard to do.

Lil vid...Its not a hard mod to do. Parts are out there at the junk yards and you can save a ton doin it like this. Google "LS1 rear brake swap". This mod has been done over and over by many peeps. Nothin new...

I moved onto another project right quick and still need to cut the top portion off. Some cut off wheels will make light work of that. With me pulling the rear (Doin a swap), cleaning and drilling the holes took about an hour. Of course you dont need to pull the rear. Im swapping my grand nat rear out my SS into my El Camino. Trust me. You can do this. EZ as pie....Skips vids walk you thru it from what to pull at the yards (and what not to pull) all the way thru. Look thru his thread bro. Sweet mod and Im also working on keeping the parking brake. Now thats the reason I didnt do the FlynBy kit. NO E brake. If the no e brake thing is cool by you, Flynby should work great> My brotha from anotha mother TTOPTONY did the Flynby kit like 3 years ago and it worked out sweet for him. Good luck and keep us posted
