Cracked frame 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

If you do weld it use a stick welder, a mig doesn't like dirty metal.
For hard to reach places I use a needle scaler attachment to a HF air hammer and it cleans up metal well for mig welding.

if you are going to get some metal to patch the area after you weld the cracks the frame is 14 gauge...
 
IIRC, someone once told me that a proper weld will be stronger than the area that broke. As flimsy as these frames are, they don't normally crack under regular use. Now, if you're slamming it around on hydros, putting more than the factory 200ish lb/ft of torque, or tossing it around in tight corners, things will happen. I say weld it, then send it. Or, get another frame or another car.
 
I vote to weld. It may have been like that from the factory. Good you found it. Just be sure to expose all of it and get it all.

Since I don't have the body on my frame I took pics of the passenger side to show the exterior seam to compair to what you saw on the inside of the frame.
