well for every offshore part sold that's one less American made product sold. I'd rather better the lifestyle of people here than people offshore and every little bit helps

Were are you going to have your parts made,if they are made in The U.S.A. or Can then that would be great,the last thing the US or Can needs is more off shore crap. I only buy Can or US, no off shore sh*t for my OLDS and I do this for most every thing I buy.

I like to help out guys like me who are stuck with something or need some advise....not someone who's working for or running a company who is looking for info on parts in order to have the parts fabricated to retail those parts....

The guy is trying to supply some much needed parts for the hobby and by getting some of our advice ahead of time. I don't see any problem with that. I thought we were trying to support the enterprising spirit here and supporting the small buisnesses.

By the way (TOBYP), may I presume you will be producing offshore. Most places are as it costs way to much to produce here.
I knew Ames Performance Engineering when he got started and was amazed at the quality of stuff he was producing in the 1980's offshore.

Unfortunately, and I mean it...yes. I have tried to find sources for these products and there just isn't anyone. Those that think they are purchasing a mfg USA item on much of this product is sadly mistaken. Is all off shore, no but most is. We can all bash not made in the USA items but the honest truth is this product will come in and the container crane operator will have containers to unload, the train engineer will have rail cars to transport, the truck driver will have a truck to drive, the LKQ warehouse worker will have parts to put away, THe CSR will have parts to sell, there are jobs due to the pricing and affordability of the product. If it's made here it is just not affordable. I have been traveling to ASIA for 10 years and the technology in the past 5 years has improved 10 fold. I choose to use ISO9000/QS certified manufacturers only. If other on the post choose not to purchase the items, who cares. They are mostly ignorant to the fact that the parts that

they have purcashed were made off shore and marketed to make them think it was made in the USA.

Well. This is not what I expect to see from a forum member with such high post value. I would expect more of an expert response. I would also think that being a forum member with such high post value that one would understand what I am trying to do.

Well, quantity of posts does not necessarily equal quality.

Do you know what the labour standards are like and what they pay there workers or what they are doing to the environment ? There are lots of good parts still made in Can and the US and you get a good product at a good price.


The works get to have a fair wage with holidays and have a life other than work thats why I buy US and Can.When a product is made at home there are a lot more jobs created and are higher paying.They have gutted manufacturing in the US and Can
for profit. When a worker gets sick in one of these off shore factorys or looses a hand there is no pay, a lot of factory workers do not get payed at all.Lets call it what it is slave labour.
