Does a cross flow muffler do anything? I am betting nothing on a Dyno, might sound better. I guess it shows how sad those era of cars were for performance, all smoke and mirrors. My V6 Challenger has true dual exhaust, it no doubt helps it reach 305 hp.
I'm using a 86'- 87' Buick GN muffler- Walker 22395 - $55 on E-Bay. Dual 2 1/4" inlets and dual 2 1/4" outlets. Mounts in stock location but I'm running dual pipes all the way back with a 500 Cadillac in a 86' El Camino. Not running yet so I don't know how it'll sound but the Buick V-6 sounded good with about half the cubes.guys, any recommended muffer to get the dual outlets behind the wheels without modifying the stock cat back pipe? would look like this but dont need 3” pipes and chrome
