Chevrolet had a "Custom" package that was right out of the factory. Like the Impala Custom, and Monte Carlo Custom Package in 1972. 😀
My 1972 Monte is not a factory "Custom" package, but it is highly Modified, the only thing Custom on the car was my ideas, like using the 71 SS rear end chrome/ blacked out tailpanel, with the 71 grille and fender extensions but keeping the 72 bumper to give it a custom look. And I done all the assembly myself. The paint and body was done by myself and a really good friend, it was painted by him also.
But you couldn't call it custom paint, because its a paint code right out off the color chart.
I see where this word could be misused.
