lol ok i get what you are saying. you are talking about like seperating the true bikers from the weekend warriors type thing. i agree. i hate seeing someone pay $500 for a car that half runs, add $25 sticker graphics on it, put a muffler on the back that sounds like a bee that could take godzilla, call it custom and add a price tag of $5k on it we have a lot of them here lol

I think you're mixing "custom" with "unique" a little bit here. I believe and agree that being "unique" is a highly appreciated feature in car customization.

My 2 cents: "Custom" is short-form or slang for "custom made" and "customization" -- so anyone who custom makes a car or part thereof will likely end up being unique in some way. So I get what you're saying. Truely being custom, a car will surely be unique as well.

I think generally, the majority of car enthusiasts can differentiate what is custom from what is imitation/wannabe custom.

i have no response to this thread....i think even if you copy an idea but fabricate it from scratch its still custom because you did the work, you didnt order a kit and slap it on. JMO but seriously i feel like you guys are fighting over stupid sh*t...what is custom and whats not

I don't think anybody is fighting! What we are doing (IMO) sharing different views of a common thought. Sharing these views is what keeps our hobby from stagnanting. Our hobby keeps moving forward !
