I am shocked that the Cutlass ran a 10.39 on 22s (they're not even the lightweight, forged 22s)

Finally, another G-body with the same engine as mine, and on rims too

Damm I was hoping for some booty clapping!!!

Ok im not a fan of the big wheels at all serves no purpose, but whatever, what I dont get and find odd or dumb, is why would you drag race on 22's+ on sh*t tires? Makes no sense to me.

The natural evolution of "run what you brung". There are dedicated strip cars that aren't running the times some of the guys are running on rims these days.

Just think how much safer and faster it would be if they actually ran a good wheel and tire.

That blown LS is badass!! Aint no use complaining about other peoples choices on their cars, in the end people are gonna do what they want.
I think big wheels look good on these cars and gives them a more modern look. Not everybody likes cragars or welds.haha most modern vehicles come with 19"+ wheels now anyways, so hes right in saying its the modern natural evolution.

HA-Ha -- 10.90s on 22s is damn impressive. Sure, it could go faster on slicks, but so what! More power to ya. I think 22s are too big, but that's just me. I said I would never go bigger than 18s five years ago, but I have gone to 20s and I like them quite a lot. Doubt if I'll ever go bigger, though. 🙂

What makes them any less safer? 22s have the same, or smaller, overall diameter as most stock wheels & tire combos. Getting it to hook up takes more suspension tuning than just running slicks, and slicks which aren't safe for a daily driver on public roads.

That's a beautiful car that you have.

The guy has posted a 10.39 on the 22s, and is into the high 9s on drag radials.

22s aren't considered big anymore; 22s have the same, or smaller, overall diameter as most stock wheel and tire combos.

That grey cutlass tho...perfect 4s, squat everything. Haven't been on the forum in months but I'm about to start getting to work again. Just got rid of some staggered 22 asanti af113, and have a set of COR revallo 24s sitting around. This motivation makes me want to sell my draglites.
