1 bar is 14.7; shouldn't 2 go to 28, or am I missing something?

The 1st bar is what is atmosphere. If the car was at sea level and the engine is off, then it will read 14.7 psi, 1 bar, 100kpa and zero vacuum.

Forgot to add, so the 2nd bar will be at 14.7 psi above atmospheric.

It’s a little confusing at first, but using either bar or kpa as a scale makes it somewhat easier to figure out.

Also, think of it this way, when you’re in vacuum, that will read negative boost on a normal automotive style boost gauge.

Here's some exciting updates from today. I got the turbo piping knocked out and got the intercooler water tank done. It just needs the lines ran and to be mounted in the back of the wagon.

Here's the detailed build of the tank. I'm proud of this little detail here.

Used a 5 gallon RV water tank. Put a 6" screw out deck plate in it that you put in a boat for observation. This will allow a big enough hole to pour bags of ice into the tank no problem. Used stainless machine screws and RTV when mounting. I used a high flow bilge pump and screwed it's base to a board and then glued the board to the bottom of the tank since you cannot screw the pump base to the tank itself. I then used 1"ID spa hose as my feed line from the pump to the large bulkheads I bought to pass through the side of the tank. I put the supply and return bulkheads in and screwed 3/4npt to 3/4" barb fitting for 3/4" ID hose. Turned out to be a pretty clean setup. I may remove the guts of a really old drink cooler and put the cooler over top of the ice tank so it looks more like I'm going on a picnic instead of to a racetrack.

Got it. I was figuring everything above "normal" atmospheric. Makes sense, but makes less sense that HPT is not going to 3 bar.

Nutty Cutty, what did you use for a radiator? Any pics of the mounting - that's unique and allowed you ton of room in front of the engine.

HPT will handle higher pressures, it's the sensor that won't. Yesterday when I posted I was struggling for a term - absolute pressure vs gauge pressure. The MAP sensors measure in absolute pressure.

Here are some pictures of full turbo piping minus exhaust. This is pretty much final. I am going to come up with something nicer as a bracket on top of the intercooler though.
