Bondo is just pumice and epoxy resin, right?

I really dig this approach. But, FFS put on some gloves and trim your finger nails!
I thought Bondo was a form of Talcum base...probably similar to pumice.

David,
Hope you're able to pickup some tips from the various You tubes...
Mr Jack
I have read a couple threads on here about dash cap. And I have watched a few you tube videos. Some real good ones too. Seen this one with the baking soda and super glue a few weeks back...you think that trick would work on my poor dash??? Lol

David,
To be honest with you, I think it's a bunch of hooey. I wouldn't trust it. I wanted you to take note on how they feathered out the curled and raised edges using a Dremel and stone.

Hey folks sorry for late reply didn't expect so many replies lol. Superglue might work on top one, but the radio hvac box crack is large.

Jared, or someone, posted up some dash redo links on here for me a while back. It was from members on here. Maybe he will chime in and put link up for the OP. Very informative. And a few of the you tube ones I watched were good.
Surely not going to try the baking soda. And the replacement dash I got does have a couple cracks to feather out. Wonder how well paint sticks to baking soda and glue?
To the OP, you may be able to repair the bad spots on your dash. Hopefully someone will chime in. I'm sure they make some kind of resin etc

Ok i know this is kinda of old thread, but anyone ever try this? thinking about trying it this weekend and see how it works. Just dont know how easy it would be to sand and make smooth

Do you mean you're going to try the baking soda method? If so, please let us know how it works out....I'm curious, as I'm sure other guys are.
