Well then i'll just find a good 307 crank

Does it matter what years? roller/non roller use the same crank?
 
No all the 307 cranks should be the same. A 350 N crank is a good option if you want stronger but only marginally heavier. Also the 74 to 80 350 crank is the same and would require less weight to balance.

40 on the pistons

Oh My... I wouldn't use the block or the crank. Curious to see how this pans out.
 
Honestly I would run both, quit being babies. I have .039" overbore stroker pistons for my 403. There are .040" bearings for Olds cranks. Big babies😫
 
i have an olds 350 n crank. but it's mine soooooooo~
sucks about the crank. makes me worried for my old 350's crank. them gouges are deep.
