Here's my '83 Hurst/Olds. It has 27k original documented miles on it. I bought it with 24.3k miles on it and drove it home to oklahoma from florida and it worked flawlessly. It is nearly 100% original, I even have the original factory tires with probably 65%+ tread on them. The interior is absolutely perfect! About the only things not factory is it has a parade strobe package a previous owner installed that blinks all the lights in different patterns. I personally don't care about it, but I probably won't remove it either. The real unique feature about my car is that it was signed by Jack "Doc" Watson and Linda Vaughn (the creator and spokesmodel for these cars). I have never found another that has been signed though I assume they exist. The car has been in 5 car shows and won 4 of them including the Olds show in Lansing MI and Datona twice. I also won a small local show here in Oklahoma City as well.

I have a question. I know this is a G body of the month post...But since the topic is original and or original appearing. I want to show my car next year once the interior is all finished and I want to know if you guys think I can put it in a stock class? It is an original V-8 4 speed car. But the V-8 grew a bit and the 4 speed is not original (M-21 now). It has an upgraded rear end, all GM of course (12 bolt). The body and interior are completely stock with the exception of the wheels. Which are still GM and stock appearing. No lumpy hood..just a stock hood too. So do you think I will get docked real bad in a stock class? I know I stand no chance in a modified class. I had it out twice last year and that was just at the local weekday car show and shine.

I can tell you at the event I have been going to over the years which is 750+ cars I believe they have a maximum of six things that can be changed from stock in order to still be in the stock class. I don't even qualify in the stock class sadly, and in turn get boned in the modified class with people who have way to nice of trailer queens
