I want to show my car next year once the interior is all finished and I want to know if you guys think I can put it in a stock class? It is an original V-8 4 speed car. But the V-8 grew a bit and the 4 speed is not original (M-21 now). It has an upgraded rear end, all GM of course (12 bolt). The body and interior are completely stock with the exception of the wheels. Which are still GM and stock appearing. No lumpy hood..just a stock hood too. So do you think I will get docked real bad in a stock class? I know I stand no chance in a modified class. I had it out twice last year and that was just at the local weekday car show and shine.
I know the show you are talking about..the West Point last fling til spring. I missed that show this year...The guy I talked with said it would quailfy for that show in a stock class but he didn't know how each judge would look at the car. There in lies the problem. The old catch 22!! I was always curious what types of cars were in the stock 80s class at that show? Do you know what won last year? Isn't the class broke down into something like 76-84 stock?
